Happy Born Day: 93 'Til Infinity turns 22 (Words by ABNG)
Shout out to the mighty Souls of Mischief. 22 years ago today the group released their debut album. This album spoke to me at a time where not a lot of Bay Area artists did. I grew up around a lot of the artists and things that inspired a lot of the street/gangsta/player rap the bay was known for. However, Hieroglyphics represented an alternate view. Their music was refreshing, raw and definitely musically relatable. Definitely a breakthrough album, 93 Til Infinity is still one of the best hip-hop albums of the past 25 years. (And all-time in my opinion)
Years later, as time went on, I've had the pleasure of meeting and performing with most of the crew. Special shout out to Adam A-Plus Carter. via George McCrudden-Cook aka EMC
