The passing of Sean Price was a major loss for the music community. Through a storied career, he earned respect from fellow emcees, DJs, and artists. Fittingly, Gangrene has released a tribute to Sean Price in the form of their video for “Sheet Music,” which features Price, as well as Havoc of Mobb Deep on the hook. Directed by Jason Goldwatch, the video finds the duo chilling on milkcrates while smoking and pondering.

You can donate directly to Sean Price’s family here, and watch the music video for “Sheet Music” above. Gangrene’s new album, You Disgust Me, is out now.

The Drums & Ammo (not the radio) Show, The Sean Price Episode

The first time I saw Ruck & Rock was at a Black Moon show in Oakland CA, (Hegenberger Rd, to be exact), Heltah Skeltah were the openers. The Homies and I had zero clue who these 2 cats were. This was during the time Black Moon released the "Got ya opin" remix with the Barry White sample. The radio was pushin the single and buzz was on a steady incline. By the time Heltah Skeltah were done with their set we were upset they were leaving. Ruck represented that blue collar rap, beats & rhymes. We've always kept Sean Price in our radio show playlist as a regular, that will no doubt continue.
