"Layers" Royce 5'9 Featuring Pusha T & Rick Ross Produced By Mr. Porter
Royce 5'9 has been steady building over the last 5 years as a member of the Shady Records dream team Slaughter House as well as solo and guests features. Never one to reach too far for commercial recognition, it feels like the 9 Mile representer is preparing for his biggest campaign thus far. Royce's strength has always been introspective/detailed story telling, his current stint with the Slaughter's has probably led Royce to leaning more to battle lines. It feels like the 5'9 is getting back in the zone he inhabited on his "Death is Certain (KOCH)" LP from 2004, story telling that would make Oliver Stone proud. His new solo album, titled Layers, will hit stores on April 15 via Bad Half Entertainment. Royce Da 5’9″ will serve as executive producer along with long-time collaborator Denaun Porter. -Clasic Caprice
J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League Feat. Rick Ross, Mack Wilds & Camp Lo "Money Dance II"
The production crew Justice League drops a loosie during a break in their schedule. The original "Money Dance" produced by Jake One (listen here) was a lead up single to Ross' "Black Dollar" album from late 2015.
We just wanted to continue to raise the bar following the first one. We had nothing on the schedule, so I just came up with some chords, had Zach Wilson write a hook, and then we discussed who should sing it and we realized Mack Wilds was the perfect choice.
Colione came up with the idea to switch the beat up to Camp-Lo’s classic "Luchini (AKA This Is It," and then Kenny went ahead and replayed the whole thing to sound like it. It was such a dope concept." -Rook (J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League Producer)
