On opening night of the Prince tribute series at the infamous First Avenue venue in Minneapolis, singer-songwriter Bilal joined Prince’s former backing band, the Revolution—Wendy, Lisa, Bobby Z, Dr. Fink, and Brownmark.

For his set, Bilal reprised his BET tribute performance with the Purple Rain ballad, “The Beautiful Ones,” with the Revolution by his side. The second night featured an all-purple after-party with music from DJ Questlove.
